Alexandar Michael Robert Wilcox
Alexandar passed away in Amy's arms yesterday evening. Words couldn't possibly do justice to the Love we continue to have for our son, as well as the saddness we feel with him gone. We take comfort in the thought that he is in Heaven. Dr. Mulrooney called yesterday morning to tell me they had just recovered Alexandar from a very serious episode. Previous episodes required manual ventilation to bring Alexandar's vitals back to normal. This episode, however, required chest compressions to bring his heart rate back to normal along with manual ventilation to improve his oxygen levels. This serious episode followed several smaller episodes late Friday night and early Saturday morning. When we arrived at the hospital early yesterday afternoon, Alexandar was showing signs of oxygen starvation. He was struggling to breathe even with ventilator assistance. We feel that he was telling us it was time to let him go. We plan to meet with a funeral director from Ryan Funeral Home tomorrow afternoon. Thank you to everyone who has provided support over the last almost 11 weeks. Alexandar - we love you and always will. We miss you but know you are in a better place. You have brought us together and made us stronger. We will never forget the impact you have made in our lives.
