BarCamp Madison date/location finalized

The dates and location for BarCamp Madison were finalized yesterday: March 3rd & 4th, 2007 at the Inn on the Park. What is BarCamp? Let's ask Wikipedia:

BarCamp is an international network of unconferences — open, participatory workshop-events, whose content is provided by participants — focusing on early-stage web applications, and related open source technologies and social protocols. The name is a playful allusion to its origins, with reference to the hacker slang term, foobar: BarCamp arose as a spin-off and response to Foo Camp, an annual invitation-only unconference hosted by open source publishing luminary, Tim O'Reilly.

I attended one day of BarCamp Milwaukee at the end of October and thoroughly enjoyed myself. The mini-mash-pit was my favorite session, although it was cut short by having to drive back to Madison at 3:30 in the morning. As for the upcoming BarCamp, I currently plan to lead two sessions:

Depending on how the next few months go with work on my neighborhood association web site, I might back out of the second session. Another possibility is that I'll dump that session and focus instead on the Python web development framework Django. I've been completely enamored with the elegance of that particular framework, and I'm currently working on rebuilding codefuture.net (still a bit disorganized) with it. So if you have any interest in technology, register on the wiki, sign up to participate, or even lead a session on a topic in which you have knowledge and/or feel passionate about.
